If you have studied French previously, both a written and an oral test will allow us to assess your level of French. This free placement test is a way for us to better understand your strengths and needs, so as to recommend the course best adapted to your current level.

The written test takes about 15 minutes to complete and is in 2 parts:

  • An initial self-assessment where you let us know what skills you can manage in French;
  • A quick written test corresponding to the skill-level indicated by your self-assessment.

Please click here to access our written test.

In order to ensure a most accurate placement, this placement test will be followed by a quick interview with a French instructor. Once we have received your written test, we will contact you for your oral assessment. This interview will last about 15 minutes and can be organised at our premises or over the phone.

Please note that Children and High School Students do not need to fill in this test, they will be placed according to their school level and the number of years they have studied French.

For more information, you can access a complete course description here.
